Job Responsibilities:
    Performance and capacity analysis, tuning of large scale JAVA and C++ based Internet applications.

    Performance and capacity analysis and planning of large-scale Oracle RAC and high performance large-scale storage systems (such as Netapp).

    Troubleshoot and resolve Tomcat, JAVA and C++ application server issues.

    Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements for performance enhancement and capacity planning.

    Develop scripting in Shell (csh, bash), Perl or PHP, JAVA load test tools.

    Define, develop and implement preemptive monitoring, support and maintenance processes and tools.
    Produce data and statistical reports upon request in relation to system performance and capacity.

    Participate in periodic on-call duty as well as out-of-band requests.

    Occasional travel may be required.

    Technical Skills:
    Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a large-scale, high-traffic web serving or wireless applications in RHEL, CentOS, OEL 5x or Unix environment.

    Working knowledge with RHEL, CentOS, RHEL 5x and /or any flavor of Unix.

    Working knowledge in performance analysis, tuning; capacity analysis and planning of C++, JAVA, Tomcat applications.

    Working knowledge in performance, capacity analysis and tuning for Oracle RAC and Oracle remote replication technologies.

    Working knowledge in performance tuning and capacity planning for large -scale storage systems.

    Good working knowledge with VMWare.

    Good working knowledge in server and storage design, operational support.

    Some code development experience in C++ and JAVA applications.

    Good conceptual Operating Systems knowledge.

    Experience working with large-scale distributed systems is a definite plus.

    Other Skills:
    Excellent documentation writing skills.
    Excellent communication skills and interpersonal team work skills.
    Affectively communicate over Phone/Skype/IM.
    Ability to work independently with little supervision, looking for self-starters.

    Technical Qualification:
    BS in Computer-Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience
