At least 6+ years of working with n-tier SOA applications in Java in an enterprise IT, eCommerce, or communications service provider situation.

    Experience in managing/supporting large application hosting and SaaS providers

    Excellent ability to program in various scripting languages like shell, Python, Perl, Ruby.

    Excellent ability in Devops tools like Rundeck, Jenkins and CHEF.

    Experience in working in an automated application management environment with system configuration and software lifecycle tools such as GIT/STASH, Maven, and Bamboo.

    Experience in monitoring, reporting and alerting using tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios, Logic Mon, NewRelic, Logrythm etc.

    A high level of knowledge of Java, Java based APIs, Apache Tomcat, J2EE,NGNIX

    Familiarity with XML, SOAP, and RESTful APIs.

    Experience working with ticketing systems in S-OX and PCI compliant environments.

    Ability to manage application resources for security, scalability and resilience.

    Strong application process flow and problem solving techniques.

    Understanding of software configuration management and release management.

    High levels of software engineering literacy and communication skills.

    Friendly and professional manner working with internal and customer facing teams.

    Ability and desire to work in a team environment.

    Experience creating and maintaining excellent technical documentation for internal reference.

    Working knowledge and the ability to collaborate with team members who are specialists supporting network services, operating system, and storage and virtualization services.

    Ability to critically analyze a situation and work within a team to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions.

    Desired Skills:

    Skills and attitude needed to approach Middleware technologies from a Software Engineering perspective.

    Strongly driven to understand both how and why things work as they do.

    Ability to work on multiple projects and programs while respecting business priorities.

    Experience of delivering software services in a software as a service environment.

    Experience supporting high transaction volume environments.

    Experience of working in an agile (Scrum) environment.

    Experience with Oracle RAC, Golden Gate, WebLogic, MySQL, Maria DB.

    Knowledge of Ant, Junit, JMeter

    Knowledge of Web 2.0 software infrastructure (to include internet scale platforms)

    Delivering applications using Oracle, MySQL and NoSQL technologies.

    Experience using chef for server management.

    Experience diagnosing complex n-Tier application issues.

    Demonstrate the ability to defend your own well-formed opinions and work within a group to build consensus.
