You bring deep experience and strategic insight spanning from Architecture, Design and Development leadership to client facing solution skills which are among the best in the industry. You are crucial to realizing cutting edge Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Capabilities and Solutions for clients worldwide.Responsibilities:• Involve working with highly skilled infrastructure architects and deployment specialists in taking up challenging internal IBM projects in order to develop and execute complex solutions for IBM clients worldwide• In conjunction with IBM Distinguished Engineers and other key leaders, the Network Architect for Cloud would also provide guidance to the larger global Community of Practice (CoP) in their area and drive important community supported projects• You will prioritize building critical intellectual capital that may eventually be leveraged by the wider IBM audience through development of best in class reusable assets often using bleeding edge technologies on “First of a Kind” projects.• The success of this role would be benchmarked globally with industry peers.• Proven practice and knowledge on Cloud based software development and tools, consummate thought leadership, constant innovation and contribution to development of industry standards would be some of the key result areas in addition to meeting business metrics for the respective areas.Required Technical and Professional Expertise• Overall experience between 15-20 years.• Subject Matter Expect in Networking elements for Cloud Platforms. Knowledge of Networking concepts including SDN, outing tables, access control lists, firewalls, NAT, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, OSI model.• Must be certified from one or more Public Cloud Providers e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform. Good understanding of Cloud Native• Knowledge of Networking in RedHat technologies will be preferred e.g., CloudForms, OpenShift, RHV/OSV, Containers Neworking.• Understanding of NFV and Cloud infrastructure for NFV (NFVI) is a plus• Knowledge on Virtual Routers/Switches/LB/Firewall providers e.g, Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei, Juniper Networks, Brocade, Palo Alto Networks, etc.,• Knowledge on VMware Networking technologies e.g., NSX-DC, NSX-TPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise• Exposure and good understanding in core tenants to be considered when designing, developing & deploying to a Cloud, specially the Networking components.• Good understanding on managing applications at scale and how Cloud could address problems faced when designing for distributed scalable applications that are deployed across regions.• Knowledge of Micro services and Cloud Native.About Business UnitAt Global Technology Services (GTS), we help our clients envision the future by offering end-to-end IT and technology support services, supported by an unmatched global delivery network.
