We are hiring Lead - SOX Compliance for our chennai office

Job description for SOX Compliance :

Plan audit engagements, identify risks and control objectives using Risk based Audit.

Conduct Risk assessments of various business process and document the procedure .

Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organisation's objectives and goals to be met.

Evaluate information security and associated risk exposures

Planning and performing IT audits, documenting procedures performed 

Interview business teams about working practices. Challenging current working practices and finding ways to improve internal risk controls

Draft Audit Reports and other written communications, including the review and editing of team members writing

Coordinate and participate in closing meetings with process / business heads

Conduct detailed audit work paper reviews

Develop and present training materials within and outside the SOX Department

Monitor and report on issue identification/retesting/closure status

Provide a point of escalation for problems related to the program such as response to issues related to testing and/or issue mitigation

Interact with Internal Auditors and statutory auditors 

Develop and maintain effective relationships within the team, the Business units and the external auditors

Skills and Requirements:

1.Good understanding of business processes and applications

2.Prior experience in internal controls / sox audit 

3.Experienced in Risk assessment

4.Good in drafting reports presentation skills

5.Ability to interact with process owners and implement controls for gaps identified

6.Strong analytical skills

7.Tactful but assertive

8.Good project management and team working ability

9.Self-motivated and happy taking on responsibility

10.Commitment to gaining professional qualifications and ongoing self-development

11.Working knowledge on Excel , Word , Power point

12.Knowledge of ERP application.
