OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB 

-Leads team of technical writers as well as performs responsibilities of technical writer

Responsibilities/ Authorities 

Leads team of technical writers

Originates and coordinates updates to numerous technical publications used by customers to maintain and overhaul P&WC engines. 

Researches and organizes technical data and engineering documentation to produce comprehensive text and illustration requests as required to meet Air Transaport Association industry standards. 

Knowledge of configuration managements practices. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Engineering or recognized technical diploma, preferably aerospace, with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of related experience. 

Working knowledge of aerospace service documentation, Simplified English and ATA (Air Transport Association) data structures. 

Good communication skills (written and spoken) and ability to author service documentation in English i. e. Service Bulletins and Illustrated Parts Catalogs. 

Demonstrated ability to work in a computerized environment. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of technical authoring systems and databases. 

Practical experience with markup languages (SGML/ XML). 

Familiar with airworthiness regulatory requirements.
